Meet My Family

Lucy is 5. She's super sweet and tough and brave and started Woodcliff in the fall of 2022. 

Rosie is 7. She's very creative and such a good friend and a strong leader and is a second grader at Wealthy Elementary.

Their safety, well-being and education are the most important things in my life, providing me with a direct investment in the schools for as long as they're students there.

Like so many neighbors I've spoken to, I moved here years ago and immediately fell in love with the area -- the parks, the lake, the restaurants, the people, the schools and, yes, the Michigan State Spartans.

I believe East Grand Rapids is a unique community, one I plan on being a part of for life, and it would be my honor to contribute to its future as a member of the School Board.

... and our administrators. And our counselors. And our librarians. I believe it is the job of a School Board member to support these incredible workers and to let them do the (amazing!) jobs they've been trained to do. We have a first-rate school system here and I only wish to contribute to this tradition in any way I can.

I've chaperoned a number of Rosie's field trips. I coached her in basketball last year and I coached Lucy in soccer last fall (don't ask about our record, it was a rebuilding season) and plan on coaching both kids/sports again in 2022. I'm a board member on the East Grand Rapids Community Foundation and I supported the recently-passed Parks Improvement Millage proposal. I will ensure this investment moves forward with mindfulness toward all users.
